Heidelberg

It is in this street that Schumann had started his career as a romantic composer and fallen in love with Goethe. Fish Market

You must also have heard a lot about Germany’s fish market. However, you may not be able to catch all those actions if you do not know when and where the best fish market is organized. Hamburg is the place and the market is held on every Sunday morning, beginning 5 am.

Kehlsteinhaus - Hitler’s Favorite Hideout

Travel in Germany is not complete if you do not visit Kehlsteinhaus. This used to be the favorite hideout of Hitler and that is the reason why it is one of the most popular Germany travel destinations. It is also referred to as the Eagle’s nest. It is located in the town of Berchtesgaden, perched on a rocky crag. It has now been converted into a beautiful restaurant. The views from this restaurant are nothing less than exhilarating. After all, there must be some reason why Hitler had chosen it as his favorite hideout. No wonder by visiting this place, you might develop delusions of grandeur.

The World’s Best Passion Play

The world’s best passion play is organized in Germany every ten years. The next play is scheduled for performance in 2010 from May through September. Villagers have been performing the play every ten years since the seventeenth century. However, you can visit the picturesque Passionsspielhaus (Passion play Theater) anytime of the year.

Every spring (April, may, June), thousands of epicures from all around the world travel to the world’s asparagus Mecca. It is the time when the Germany’s go stalk-raving mad, gorging themselves on the white asparagus. Therefore, if you are planning to travel in Germany during spring, you must visit Schrobenhausen, which is popularly known as the asparagus capital of Germany.
